The blend is faithful to the traditional washed profile associated with Colombia: think chocolate, medium acidity, creamy full body. Our cupping notes of lime, apricot and chocolate.

Our Bochica is sourced from various small holder farmers from Colombia's famous coffee growing regions. These farmers typically use the traditional Fully washed method of processing. Cherry is selectively handpicked and then pulped, usually on the farm itself. After pulping, coffee is fermented in tanks for 26-36 hours. Following fermentation, the coffee is fully washed in clean water and the parchment is laid on parabolic beds to sundry for up to 20 days. Our Bochica marries this year-round supply with a reliably smooth, chocolate laden Colombia profile.

Colombia has been producing and exporting coffee renowned for their full body, bright acidity and rich aftertaste, since the early 19th century. Colombia boasts a wide range of climates and geographic conditions that, in turn, produce their own unique flavors in coffee. This also means that harvest times can vary quite a bit. In fact, between all its different regions, Colombia produces fresh crop nearly all year round. Colombia has quickly expanded its certification options over the past 10 years. The most common certifications available are Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ and Organic.

According to indigenous Muisca mythology, Bochica was the father of modern civilization. Described as bearded man who brought morals and laws to the people, Bochica also taught indigenous Colombians agriculture, crafts and other trappings of civilization. Like its namesake, our Colombia Bochica blend will bring order to your life.
