All About Grind Size

Adjusting grind size is part of the joy home brewing brings. Coffee can be under-extracted (weak), and less flavorful if your coffee is ground too coarse, or coffee can be over-extracted and bitter. Small changes in grind size can drastically affect the taste of your final brew.

Hollow – A lack any notable coffee bean flavors

Just in case you're wondering...the daily grind is totally worth the time. That delicious aroma and flavor is in the coffee oils and the freshness is highly noticeable. The main difference between pre-ground and whole-bean coffee is freshness, flavor and scent. Grinding your beans will speed up the process of going stale. Even vacuum-packed ground coffee will not be as fresh as what you get when you grind the beans yourself.
