Duromina offers a floral and sweet aroma of peach, apricot and honey. It has a complex and sophisticated cup, highlighting an eclectic fusion of flavors, such as, lemon, ginger, cinammon and caramel. Also, the flavors are gradually emphasized as it cools down; sounds like a classic iced coffee in the making!
During my visit to Ethiopia this year I found our Konga Natural, another Natural from Amaro Gayo and of course our Worka Natural which has been a top seller since I found it on a previous trip to Ethiopia. But the standout from this trip was a washed coffee from the Duramina Co-op. Everyone who tried this coffee loved it and scored it as their highest and best coffee in Ethiopia. Not only was it our best coffee, but it also was the top coffee at the African Fine Coffee Associations "Taste of Harvest" which featured the top African coffees, including the countries of Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Tanzania, DRC and Uganda. The competition included both washed and naturals but Duramina was clearly the best and the highlight "Find" of the trip.
