The natural Red Caturra played a major role in Pete Licata's 2011 United States Barista Championship and World's Barista Championship competition. Licata was the first competitor from Hawaii to win USBC and also the first to prevail any national barista competition using 100% Hawaiian coffee. Licata picked and processed all coffee for competition, using Rusty's Hawaiian processing methods.
