We're excited to offer this awesome new Geisha coffee from the Peterson family. On the nose, we get bright notes of creamsicle, cinnamon and honey. Then it transitions to the cup with bold and sweet flavors of dried apricots, berries, lemon and hints of white wine. With a sweet, elegant and fruity mouth feel , this awesome new Geisha gives a refreshing and enjoyable drinking experience for our klatchaholics!
This particular lot of coffee is from trees planted only four years ago in the Canas Verdes region. According to Terroir, this growing area, situated on the south-facing slopes of Volcan Baru at an altitude of 4900-5400 meters, has a notably different microclimate than the areas where Esmeralda grows the rest of their Geisha coffee, with more sun and less rain throughout the year.
The Peterson Family has won countless first place prices in national cupping events, their geisha varietal coffee is world renowned - gaining Hacienda Esmeralda top honors. Mario San Jose comes from a part of the estate located in high altitude above the creek.
